Abstract

Krupuk Sae Roso industry is one industry snacks of rambak onions chips in the Salatiga, Central Java. Activities stripping onions done by workers still with manual way. Equipment worn while it will be a knife that require a long time. Capacity time needed to 2 kg onions is 2 hours. Therefore, is required a peeler onions in accordance with their condition and finance from the business. Design peeler onions created in order to diminish time production processing of krupuk rambak. Methods used in research that is reverse engineering. Stage a reverse engineering is benchmarking, disassembly products, assembly products, planning a new design, building prototypes, and analysis before and after use the equipment. The results showed capacity a blender used to contain onions as many as ¼ kg with 800ml water as media of stripping the skin ari onions. A rubber used fitted each other and crossed each 2 pieces with length of 3.25 cm and 2 cm. The new onion peeler will need the time during which 10 minutes from 8 times raised its key rate process of stripping off. Electricity costs incurred for one month’s use of equipment is Rp 1.356,32.
