Abstract
The purpose of this research is to 1) to describe the concept implementation authentic assessment, 2) to know the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of authentic assessment in SDII Al-Abidin, 3) to explain teacher empowerment strategy to optimize the implementation of authentic assessment in SDII Al-Abidin Surakarta. The subject of this research is Wakasek curriculum and class teacher in SDII Al-Abidin. This research type is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques with observation, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative data analysis techniques using the concept given Miles and Hubermen. Data validity uses source triangulation and engineering triangulation. The results showed that 1) the concept of implementation of authentic assessment in SDII Al-Abidin Surakarta in BCP and ICP class has been in accordance with government regulations. 2) There are factors that can hamper, among others, the number of competencies that must be assessed, the limited time of the teacher, the less reading material in the student book, and the UN that still separate the subjects. Supporting factors include, supportive sarpras, the existence of IT, teachers who are still productive, and parallel class systems. 3)The form of teacher empowerment in the form of discussion with peers, Workshop, coaching, and training.
