Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of world crude oil prices, foreign exchange rates, foreign exchange reserves, BBM consumption and petroleum productionon the petroleum imports in Indonesia during the period of 2000 - 2015. The analysis method used in the research is multiple regression using Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach applied to time series data. The data were obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and the Ministry of Economic Resources and Minerals (KESDM). The results showed that the foreign exchange rate, and BBM consumption has positive and significant effect and petroleum production has negative and significant effect on the import petroleum in Indonesia during the period 2000-2015. Meanwhile the world oil prices and foreign exchange reserves do not show a significant effect on the import of petroleum in Indonesia.
