Abstract

Childbirth is a process that has a risk to death. This condition is often a major factor in the onset of anxiety in pregnant women before delivery. Social support, especially husbands, has a very positive impact on mothers who approach labor. Husbands who can accompany mothers during pregnancy and childbirth can affect the psychological mothers so that mothers feel more comfortable and calm. This study aims to test the level of maternal anxiety mengahadapi birth in terms of support the husband in the Work Area Puskesmas Karangmalang. This research is a descriptive analisis research with crosssectional. The study population was pregnant women trimether III who faced the delivery period of 50 pregnant women in the work area of Puskesmas Karangmalang, research samples were 50 pregnant women obtained by 2 total sampling technique. The data were collected using questioner and analyzed using Central Tendency and Chi-square. The results showed that the average of anxiety level was lower than median (23,98 <25,00), the frequency distribution of anxiety level showed most of the weight and weight were 17 respondents (34%) and the rest were 16 respondents (32%). The result of research got the mean value of husband support level higher than median (52,62> 52,00). The frequency distribution of husbands support level shows that most of them are high, 33 respondents (66%) and 17 respondents (34%). Conclusion The anxiety level of pregnant women facing childbirth in Work Area of Puskesmas Karangmalang Sragen mostly is light and heavy. The level of support of husbands to mothers facing labor in the Working Areas of Karangmalang Sragen Public Health Center is largely high.
