Abstract
Abstract This study aims to predict, as well as analyze the temperature and air velocity in a room that has the installation of two split AC units. The CFD simulation approach is applied in this study by preceded experimental measurements on actual conditions for data validation. In this study, the room of 10.45 x 8.1 x 3.92 m located in Room H 404 Faculty of Engineering serve as a simulation object. Air velocity variations measured at the front of the evaporator, that is AC unit 1 = 5 m/s and AC unit 2 = 3.2 m/s. The simulation process begins by validating three different types of mesh 15216 elements, 158785 elements, and 481178 elements Simulation of three variable of turbulance model (k-epsilon standard, k-omega standard, and k-omega SST) showed that no significant effect on the average temperature in the room where the result was 23,321, 23,481 and 23,468 ° C. While the average air velocity in the room there is an increase in each variation obtained results of 0.100, 0.107 and 0.108 m/s.
