Abstract

Piriformis syndrome is a symptom and a sign of muscle pain with ischiadicus, which is the cause of lower back and sciatic pain. The depiction of this syndrome is a deep pain, local tenderness in the area around the gluteal with or without symptoms of sciatic. To know the benefits of MWD (Micro Wave Diathermy), TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), US (Ultrasound), and exercise therapy in piriformis syndrome case. After therapy 6 times from result of decrease of pain and muscle spasm m. Piriformis, increased hip joint range of motion, and improved patient functional ability. Therapy using MWD (Micro Wave Diathermy) modalities, TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation), US (Ultrasound), and exercise therapy can accelerate can accelerate the decrease in pain, spasm, increased ROM and increased functional ability.
