Abstract

ABSTRACT Pujiasih / A210140082. Contribution of Motivation and Job Satisfaction on Teacher Performance in Teaching and Learning Process at SMK Muhammadiyah Surakarta Academic Year 2017/2018. Essay. Faculty of Teacher Training and Education University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. May, 2018. The aims of this research are: 1) To know the contribution of motivation to teacher performance. 2) To know the contribution of job satisfaction to teacher performance. 3) To know motivation and job satisfaction on teacher performance. This type of research is quantitative assosiative. The population in this study is the teacher of SMK Muhammadiyah Kota Surakarta which amounted to 140. Samples were taken 103 teachers with proportional random sampling. Data obtained through questionnaire and documentation. The techniques for analyzing data are multiple linear regression analysis, T-test, F-test, R2, relative donation and effective contribution. Based on the result of data analysis obtained by equation of double linear regression as follows: Y = 5,559 + 0,512 X1 + 0,725 X2. The equation shows that the teacher performance is influenced by motivation and job satisfaction. Based on the analysis and discussion can be concluded that: (1) There is a contribution of motivation to teacher performance. It is based on double linear regression analysis (t test) known that tcount> ttable, 2,311> 2,00 and significance value <0,005, that is 0,023 with relative donation equal to 46,58% and effective contribution 17,09%. (2) There is contribution of job satisfaction to teacher performance. It is based on double linear regression analysis (t test) known that t count> ttable, 7,613> 2,00 and significance value <0,005, that is 0.000 with relative contribution equal to 53,43% and effective contribution 19,61%. (3) There is a contribution of motivation and job satisfaction to the performance of teachers. This is based on analysis of double linear regression variance (F test) known that Fcount> Ftable, that is 29.000> 1,48 and significance value <0,05, that is 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0,367 or by 36,7%, while the remaining 63,3% is influenced by other variables that are not examined.
