Abstract
Hiring pledge is an activity to strengthen the character of studenthen the character of student discipline, carried out every morning before learning. The purpose of the study is, (1) describe the implementation of the pledary habituation activities in MI Muhamamdiyah Program Khusus Wirogunan. (2) Know the teacher’s efforts in strengthening the character of student discipline through the pledge of the pledge. (3) Know the inhibiting factors, supporting factors, and teacher solutions to overcome obstacles in the pledge activities. The research approach is qualitative with the type of descriptive qualitative research. Data collection method with observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. Analysis of research data by reducing data and then displaying data and concluding flexibly to answer the problem formulation. Result of research indicate that, (1) activity of pledge habituation conducted every morning in school yard together. The pledge is led by one of the ustad or ustadzah in turn, sometimes led by students to practice courage. (2) teachers ‘efforts to strengthen the character of discipline through the pledge of the pledge by requiring students to come to school on time, to follow the pledge in an orderly manner, to collect duties in an orderly manner, to wear full uniforms, to examine the students’ prayers everyday, in addition to rewards and punishments. (3) The supporting factor of the pledge activity is the teacher’s cooperation is supervising and executing the pledge, inhibiting factors such as the limitations of teachers resulted in less optimal student conditioning, and lack of student concentration in the pledge, , so the solution in overcoming obstacles by requiring all teachers to follow the pledge and provide ice breaking for students.
