Abstract
Result of research from Dewanty (2017) land of Troketon LL = 74,42%, PL=26,35%, SL = 25,65% and PI = 48,07%. Under the classification system USCS Troketon soil belongs to the CH group with the type of non-organic clay soil with high plasticity.The vertical drainage is one of the reinforcement efforts on clay soil to increase the carrying capacity of the soil. In this study used reinforcement with columns of sand mixture of lime on palm foundation with diameter 10 cm da 15 cm. The research was conducted with 6 samples, 2 samples without reinforcement and 4 samples with reinforcement of 10 cm and 15 cm diameter columns and test loading on each sample. Water addition and compaction are carried out in the same amount and manner. The result of the test is reinforcement of lime sand mixed column to increase the carrying capacity of the soil compared with without reinforcing the column and the greater the diameter of the foundation and the column diameter, the carrying capacity is also higher.
