Abstract

The value of the firm is the price that the investor is willing to pay if the company is sold and often associated with the stock price. The purpose of this study is to determine empirically the influence of institutional ownership, firm size, profitability, and leverage to the value of food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2016.The population used in this study are all food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sampling method by purposive sampling according to predetermined criteria. The number of samples collected were 60 companies. The data collected were analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis with t test, f test, and coefficient of determination. Before performing multiple linear regression analysis the classical assumption test is done first. The results of this study indicate that the variables of institutional ownership, profitability, and leverage affect the value of the company. While the variable size of the company does not affect the value of the company.
