Abstract

Cervical cancer sufferers were always overshadowed by the death, but the actual life expectancy of cancer patients is still quite high, especially if the cancer can be detected early and are still at the early stages. The activities of the early detection of cervical cancer with IVA method began to be developed in Central Java province since 2007. Based on a preliminary survey of clinics in Sangkrah, of the 10 women aged 30-50 years found that 7 people do not know what that cervical cancer and 6 people don't know what the IVA test. This research aims to analyze the factors related to the working area on the IVA test Clinics Sangkrah Sub Pasarkliwon Surakarta. This research is observational research with cross sectional design. The population in this research as much as 8,219 WUS as many as 242 WUS samples taken with the technique of sampling is simple random sampling. Analysis using statistical test of Chi-square with significance α = 0.05 level of confidence (95%). The results showed that there was no relationship between the level of education with IVA test (p = 0,386), while there is a relationship between knowledge (p = 0,000), attitude (p = 0,000), access to information (p = 0,000), the role of the health cadres (p = 0,000), and support a family members with IVA test (p = 0,000).
