Abstract

Maria Jaya is small-medium sized industryin Ceper, Klaten. Maria Jaya produces draignase supporting product, such as manhole.Manhole is a control tub that is functioned to check waste water if congestion is happened in sewage. One of the production process is cleaning manhole that is done by worker with sitting or squatting position and the manhole is placed on the ground. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the working method and design of the work facilities. This research uses Nordic Body Map method and Rapid Entire Body Assessment in data processing Based on the result of Nordic Body Mapquestionnaire, worker have complaint on certain body part.The calculation result with Rapid Entire Body Assessment method is showed that there are some postures in manhole cleaning process that have high risk level.The result of this research is improvement work method and design of work table in manhole cleaning process. Based on simulation is resulted comparison between before-after repairment condition as follow: the condition of before design, risk level of posture 2 is high with REBA score of 10. After design, risk level of posture 2 is medium with REBA score of 4. Posture 4 before designing has medium risk level with REBA score of 6 and after designing risk level of posture 4 is low with REBA score of 2. Decreasing in work risk level is happened in posture 2 about 40% and posture 4 about 33,3%.
