Abstract
glass composer and then compare it with chemical composition standard for glass enameling. The study also aims to determine the effect of HCL 17% and 20% on low carbon steel. by looking at micro and adhesion between enamel and low carbon steel surfaces. This study uses SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) test to determine the chemical composition of the glass. Meanwhile, to know the effect of HCl 17% and 20% on low carbon steel surface, surface roughness testing and micro photo testing were done. To know the result of the tightness of glass coating test which is done that is bonding test which according to European Standard EN10209. Based on the test results can be concluded that the glass that can be used in glass coating is a glass that has a chemical composition close to the standard chemical composition of enamel glass is a low percentage of silica content and a fairly high percentage of alumina and floor. In testing of micro and bond photographs of 17% and 20% HCl effect on low carbon steel surfaces, the best strength of bonding results in the duration of metal immersion in HCl 20% for 30 hours.
