Abstract

With a total population of 1,49 millions spreading over an area of 655,65 km2, Klaten a region in central Java Province of Republic of Indonesia. Is imposed to a head of having a set of household garbage collection points allocated to its inhabitants relatively fairly. This final project is concerned with this issue, in order to do that, the problem under concern is formulated as a mixed integer linear programming problem in combination with a P-center method. After a series of test and comparison with a similiar final project is of Putra (2017), it is found that: firstly, The garbage collection points selected are 55; secondly, the maximum travel time between pairs of gerbage collection points generator is 16 minute less than of Putra’s (2017)is 18 minutes; thirdly the total travel time weighted garbage volume is 4627,3 m3minute greater than that of Putra’s (2017); fourthly, in general it is P-center method has advantage in maximum travel time because it is brings about maximum deadline, whereas P-median method has advantage of total travel time.
