Abstract
Conformity is a kind of social influence when a person changes their attitudes and behavior to conform to existing social norms. At the University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta students come from various regions in Indonesia. But there are symptoms where more students follow the night activities, especially in the city of Solo dugem. The purpose of this research is to know and describe group conformity to students who like clubbing. This study was conducted on 5 students who do not live with their parents. Data collection method in this research is interview. The results showed that peer influence and the perceived curiosity of the students make the conforming students to be recognized in the group. After knowing the nightclubs, they do not feel quite satisfied so desiring to visit more nightclubs, it is also supported by peers who encourage to visit the nightclub. When one of their group does not come along, they feel a sense of disappointment and discomfort, feel less complete and less cool, so it felt that the informant if not able to join his friends to the nightclub. Trust and agreement between individuals and their groups make their confidence stronger for a nightclub. Keyword : conformity, clubbing, night club, students
