Abstract
This study aims to analyze the GDP per capita of Indonesia in an effort to avoid middle income trap. Middle income trap is the state of a middle-income country that is unable to move to raise its per capita income into high income. Indonesia's per capita growth in PDB per capita has fluktuatif and economic instability is likely to lead to a middle income trap in Indonesia. By analyzing the external debt factor of horror, foreign direct investment, net export, government expenditure and money supply to GDP per capita in Indonesia are expected to be able to prevent Indonesia from middle income trap. The type of data used in this study is secondary data in time series from 1990-2016. Data obtained from the website of the World Bank, Centralbereu of Statistics Indonesian and Bank Indonesia. Analyzer used is multiple regression analysis with Partial Adjustment Model (PAM) method. The results of this study indicate that Indonesia has not been include in the middle income trap and is still in the stage of low middle income. The analysis shows that foreign direct investment and net export variables have significant influence to GDP per capita. Whilevariable external debt, government expenditure and money supply have no significant effect to GDP per capita.
