Abstract
This study aims to describe the preparation, implementation, evaluation and impact of reading Al Qur'an habit in character formation in MI Sudirman Kedungjeruk academic year 2017/2018. Methods of data collection in this study is by way of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that, Preparation habits of reading Al-Qur'an in the background from the concerns of the madrasah reading Al-Qur'an, so the creation of students who have moral, virtuous, and Islamic increased based on the Vision and Mission of MI Sudirman Kedungjeruk which in hope can form a prominent character and the child needs to always read the Qur'an. The organizer is implemented by all members of the school. Implementation is done every day exactly in the morning before the learning begins for 30 minutes, Constraints: (a) Different child ability, (b) Lower class often does not carry Iqro or Qur'an, (c) Number of Teachers and students are unbalanced, (d) The existence of indiscipline from the perpetrators of reading the Qur'an. Supporting factors of the students desire, enthusiastic father of the teacher teacher and supported from the policy of the principal. The strategies or ways of each teacher vary according to the teacher's basic abilities and student conditions. The difference is that children experience changes in character or behavior. Character that is formed of discipline, responsibility, Emotional Question, and Spritual Question. The desired expectation of 100% is 80% success according to the target according to plan. Internal evaluation conducted from head of madrasah then also from foundation assisted by father or mother of teacher, done at end of semester, for 6 months, direct door to door direct monitoring to each class without notice. The impact of reading habits of the Qur'an in terms of religion and behavioral aspects, children become accustomed or hobby and finally children read the Qur'an it becomes a necessity, the religious character is increased, discipline, honesty and responsibility while reading the Qur ' an. For the values of character that is formed is discipline, responsibility, honest and religious. Keywords: Al-Qur'an, Impact, Character
