Abstract

There are three objectives in this research, 1) To describe the characteristics of thematic learning materials at Grobogan Primary School 1, 2) To describe the characteristics of thematic learning media in Grobogan Primary School 1) To describe the characteristics of interaction between teacher and student in thematic learning at Grobogan State Elementary School. This research uses qualitative research with qualitative descriptive research strategy. This research includes ethnographic research that describes and interprets culture, social groups or systems. Data obtained from interviews from field studies. Data collection 2 techniques use observation, interview and documentation. Data using descriptive analysis. Data validity using triangulation. The end result of this study is the occurrence of learning events as an active and interactive process that shows: (1) thematic learning materials in Grobogan Primary School 1 determined through a combination of selected themes. Before implementing the lesson, in determining the theme of teachers in cooperation with students so that in accordance with the interests and needs of children. (2) thematic learning media at Grobogan State Elementary School can increase student learning activity. Learning media can stimulate student learning activities. In learning activities, the media has an important role. Because with the material media easily understood by students. (3) the interaction between teachers and students in thematic learning at Grobogan Ground State Element is going well. Interaction of learning is a process of interaction both between teachers and learners, as well as between learners and the environment so that the ability of learners will develop both mentally and intellectually through the process of interaction
