Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of inflation, interest rates, economic growth and balance of trade on money supply in Indonesia during 1987-2016. Data used in this research is time series data, which contain the following variable money supply (M2), inflation, interest rate, economic growth and balance of trade during the period 1987-2016. Data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) and Bank Indonesia (BI). The tool or method used in this research is multiple linier regression analysis estimated using Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The results of multiple linear regression analysis (OLS) shows that economic growth has a significant effect on the money supply in Indonesia during the period of 1987-2016, so do with balance of trade. Inflation and interest rate in the same time, showed no significant effect on money supply. Keywords: Money Supply, Inflation, Interest Rate, Economic Growth and Balance of Trade, OLS.
