Abstract

Street Lighting ( PJU ) is a vital facility needed by the people. Public street lighting is needed to improve traffic security, environmental safety, people's comfort in driving especially at night and PJU give beauty value of a place. This study analyzes the suitability of PJU in Jl. Pemuda of Klaten City, Central Java with SNI 7391: 2008. The methods undertaken in this study begin with literature search and references about SNI 7391:2008 and public street lighting to be discussed, then audience with public works service (DPU), direct observation / measurement with lux meter and GPS, , data collection and then perform the analysis and evaluation process . Based on the results of research on the road there many PJU whose light intensity is not in accordance with SNI 7391: 2008 standards include on the right column of poles to 1, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 and on the left column of the pole to 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14 . In addition, there are some PJU whose light intensity is in accordance with the standards such as on the right lane of the 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 9th and 4th lanes on the left pole to 4, 7, 9, 10. The type and power of light used for PJU in Klaten City Street include the type of SON 250 W light, HPL 250 W, LED 60 W and LED 13 W. The distancebetween PJU pole is not the same so affect the light intensity value of the location. The height average of PJU pole at Jl.Pemuda Klaten 9 meters and 7 meters with arm length 2 meters and 1.7 meters.The author's analysis of the addition of the pole in the left lane at the coordinate point X: 0456146 and Y: 9148481 using the SON 250 W lamp and double sleeve pole will make the location brighter so that road users will be more comfortable and helpful when in the location
