Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of language development of children through the implementation of dhuha prayer in children group B in Aisyiyah 12 kindergarten Jaten Karanganyar of the academic year of 2016/2017. This study was a type of classroom action research method. This research was conducted at Aisyiyah Kindergarten 12 Jaten Karanganyar. The research subjects were assigned to children of group B in Aisyiyah Kindergarten 12 Jaten Karanganyar with the number of children 19, consisting of 7 boys and 12 girls. The data in this research was collected by observation and documentation method. This classroom action research used a combination of qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. Based on the research result, it could be concluded that Classroom Action Research learning in the research was three cycles and each cycle consised of two meetings this study used the method of habituation when done dhuha prayer implementation. There ware four stages in each meeting, namely planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. Language ability in cycle 1 obtained an average of 54.35% including good category. Language skills in cycle II obtained an average of 76.22% including the category was very good. In cycle III, it was obtained an average of 91.93% including very good category. The development of language through dhuha prayer in Cycle I had not succeeded, because the child in the development of new language began to expand by 47.4%, developing. Cycle II the average score of children in language development increased with the results developed as expected 60.45% including good category. The development of language through dhuha prayer in Cycle III had successfully obtained a very good developing average of 86.8% and including very good category. Thus it can be concluded that dhuha prayer able to improve language development in child group B in kindergarten Aisyiyah 12 Jaten Karanganyar regency academic year 2016/2017.
