Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know legal profile of legal aid institution for child case and role of legal aid institution to ABH and obstacles faced by legal aid institution in handling ABH case. The research method used is empirical normative with descriptive research type. Source of data consists of primary data that is result of interview and secondary data that is primary and secondary law material. Methods of data collection with literature study and interview then analyzed qualitatively. From the results of the research shows that the provision of legal aid itself is regulated in Law no. UU no. Law No. 17 of 2011 on Legal Assistance, hereinafter in Law No.11 of 2012 on the criminal justice system there are several elements of protection, legal aid organizations as parties involved in the settlement of ABH cases since the first stage arrest. ranging from the police to the judicial process. The form of assistance provided by legal aid agencies to ABH is litigation and non-litigation processes, where legal aid organizations are always trying to resolve ABH cases through non-litigation processes as they aim to ensure the fulfillment of children's right to live, grow and participate optimally in accordance with human dignity.
