Abstract
The background of this research is communications conducted for community empowerment of Pulau Shangiang Anyer through Socialization of Turtle Conservation Program. Socialization is done communication bridges play a role in the differences in society because it can re-attach the social system of society in its effort to make changes. Communication is done by understanding social life as a process of interaction, social structure created and sustained through interaction. The problems that occur are the lack of awareness and knowledge of the community towards the existence of the environment and regulations due to poor quality of communication. The subjects in this study are Sangiang Island community which in this case is the turtle conservation management community, related institutions in Sangiang Island, community leaders and society as a whole. The goal is that with this research, there is communication about community empowerment through turtle conservation that can improve people's prosperity. Method research used is descriptive qualitative to describe management of community empowerment program Sangiang Island through socialization of turtle conservation systematically and clearly. Types Applied research is applied to the application of science to certain practical issues, such as answering a policy problem or social problem solving. The result of research that communication about turtle conservation socialization program with development communication strategy, socialization of law or regulation concerning conservation of Natural Resources and Ecosystem, socialization of turtle conservation as tourism development to stakeholder.
