Abstract

Evaluation is the capability of teachers used as a tool to measure then assess the ability of learners. This study aimed to determine the capability of science teachers in making daily test questions of class VIII in SMP Negeri Sukoharjo academic year 2016/2017 based on the realm of cognitive of bloom's taxonomy. This research used descriptive with data collection using documentation techniques in the form of daily test questions made by science teachers and teacher background interviews in making questions. Data obtained in the form of daily test questions made by science teachers class VIII in SMP Negeri Sukoharjo academic year 2016/2017 which was analyzed using descriptive statistics based on the cognitive level of Bloom's taxonomy. The result showed that the capability of science teachers in making daily test of LOT C1 48.8% (good), C2 39.9% (poor), C3 4.6% (very poor), then about HOT C4 6.7% (very poor), for C5 and C6 were not found, so it can be concluded that the daily test question of science teachers in SMP Negeri Sukoharjo included the category of LOT is very good (93.3%) than HOT is very poor (6.7%).
