Abstract

Electrical energy is a very important requirement for either currently or in the future. Electrical energy that we use this moment still comes from conventional power plants. Conventional power plant for the time being it is not impossible it will bring up a lot of the increasing number of threats like pollution and fossil fuel reserves will be reduced. Problems like this will be bad for the future. The utilization of alternative energy becomes one of how to develop the power plant does not damage the environment for the future. Exploiting the potential of the existing nature surrounding us should we can develop in such a way and become the new breakthrough. Around the US an awful lot of energy that will not be exhausted which will potentially we develop into a source of electricity for everyday needs. The energy such as solar energy and wind energy. The use of wind energy and solar energy are in use simultaneously more commonly known as hybrid technology. The purpose of this research is to design power plants hybrid wind and solar are used for illumination of the road. Methods used in this research is the first proes is to do the data collection, carried out the tool design process. Manufacture of tools become important factors in this study so that by the time the pross testing tool are not subjected to the constraints of the meaning. The design of this plant aims to get the maximum quantity of energy and more efficient. The battery has a voltage of 12 V is supplied from a solar panel and generator will be the source of storage that will be channelled towards the lamp load DC of 10 Watts. The measurement of the load when the battery is connected with the current value of 0.61 A and voltage of 12 V power value of 7.32 W. The result of the measurement of source in the form of batteries and channelled towards the load can be turned on the lights for street lighting during hours of 8,196. At the time of the experiment in field lights can be turned on for 12 hours, but the bright lights on only 8 hours after It lights on Dim. After an 8-hour battery is only supplied from the generator to the charging process.
