Abstract
The Growing of characters become impotent thing to do, because declining of nation moral/attitude. Pencak Silat is a nurture art that philosophy and sporty nurture beats up to some one. Pencak Silat Extracurricular is one of away to building the Discipline and the Nationalism characters of the elementary school. This study aims to describe: (1) The Implementation of Pencak Silat Extracurricular in growing the Discipline and Nationalism characters at the student. (2) The contribute of Implementation of Pencak Silat Extracurricular to growing the Discipline and Nationalism characters at the student. (3) The obstacle Implementation of Pencak Silat Extracurricular in growing the Discipline and Nationalism characters at the students. This research is qualitative and descriptive research. The data of the research is taken by observation, interview, and documentation. The data of analysis use interactive model, display data, verification of data, and summary. The result of the research explain that (1) The Implementation of extracurricular pencak silat done already in accordance with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of a mature (2) There is contributing of Pencak Silat Extracurricular to growing the Discipline and the Nationalism characters at students of fifth grade. (3) There is not clear principle from this institute about Implementation Pencak Silat Extracurricular, the student home is also so far, low of attention the parents to the Discipline and Nationalism of their children.
