Abstract

Introduction The childbirth period is the most vulnerable and always experienced by the mother who gave birth, where at this time the process of removal of blood from the uterus during or after childbirth and normally lasted for approximately 6 weeks. Which affects the smooth expenditure of this blood one of them is the strength of uterine contractions. When the uterus contracts it will excrete the excretion of the uterine fluid during the puerperal period of lochea . Expenditure of lochea can last a long time and quickly this is influenced by several factors namely the presence of residual placenta in utero, endometriosis, infection, and uterine contractions. There are several things that can affect the process of uterine involution : early mobilization, nutritional status, age, parietas and breastfeeding. At the time of breastfeeding it will stimulate the expenditure of hormones oxytocin and prolactin. The method of this research is quantitative descriptive research with Prospective Study approach . This research was conducted at Puskesmas Pajang and Banyuanyar Surakarta and data collection in October 2017 with total 31 samples. This sampling using technique purposive sampling . Research result which obtained the most of the old expenditure of lochea that is> 14 days (15-48 days) that is as many as 24 people and exclusive breastfeeding mother as many as 16 people . The conclusion that most of the long- term expenditure of lochea is> 14 days (15-48 days) and the breastfeeding pattern of most exclusive breastfeeding mothers, this is the description of the duration of lochea expenditure and breastfeeding pattern on post partum mother at Puskesmas Pajang and Banyuanyar Surakarta obtained .
