Abstract

The purpose of School Principal’s Communication Managements on Job Coordination at 8 Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Surakarta, namely: communication management, supporting factors, demotivating factors, and efforts to solve demotivating factors on job coordination at 8 Muhammadiyah Elementary School of Surakarta. This research used descriptive qualitative approach. The data used in this research was taken from the informants, namely: school principal and teacher. There were also events, activities and documents used in this research. From the result of the research, it can be concluded that there is management of vertical, horizontal and diametric communication of school principal on job coordination by listening, facilitating, asking, using consideration, and directing the teacher or school committee. Supporting factor vertical, horizontal and diametric communication of the principal on coordination job , namely; language mastery, good communication media, thinking ability, and good environment. Demotivating factor vertical, horizontal, and diametric communication are language, environment, media use, and psychological. The principal's efforts to solve demotivating of vertical, horizontal, and diametric communication are to clear questions that do not make wrong perceptions, contacting other media, contacting and speaking face to face. Besides, it was the present of explanation repetition and feedback.
