Abstract

The availability of land is an important factor in ensuring the availability of food and a place for other economic activities outside of agriculture. The occurrence of population growth and the development of economic activity affect the demand side of the land whose breadth is fixed. Therefore, the problem of allocation of land use and tenure has always been a strategic issue to be resolved fairly in line with the goals of common life. The phenomenon of shrinking agricultural land in Java and other big cities, indicates there is a dynamics of land use change in line with the growing regional economy. This shows that the process of transformation of economic structure is still based on the agricultural sector. Other factors also influenced by population growth also require land as housing land, industry, other supporting facilities and infrastructure. The agricultural sector in Central Java Province can be said to be one of the main drivers of the economy. Even Central Java Province became one of the national rice production centers.
