Abstract
this study has four objectives. (1) describe the sosiohistoris background of the novelist ayat-ayat cinta 2 by habiburrahman el shirazy. (2) describes the structure of novel ayat-ayat cinta 2 by habiburrahman el shirazy. (3) describe the message of dakwah in the novel ayat-ayat cinta 2 by habiburrahman el shirazy. (4) describe the implementation of research results on the study of literature in high school. this type of research is qualitative descriptive. the strategy used is the stuck case study. the data in this study are words, phrases, sentences, and discourses in the novel ayat-ayat cinta 2 which is in accordance with the object of research. the primary data source is the novel ayat-ayat cinta 2dan secondary dataadalahhasilbrowsing 2 internet (riwayathiduppengarang). techniques of collecting data with library techniques, techniques refer, and record techniques. test the validity of data through theoretical triangulation. data analysis used is dialectic technique. the results of this study are (1) the author's autobiography consists of the author's biography, the works of habiburrahman el shirazy, the author's cultural sociol background, and the distinctive characteristic of the author's literature. (2) the structure of the novel of ayat-ayat cinta 2 by habiburrahman el shirazter on the subject of the story (plot, character, and background), and the functionaries are mutually supportive of one another. (3) the message of da'wah in the novel of ayat-ayat cinta 2 by habiburrahman el shirazy, namely a) the message of da'wah consists of faith in allah swt and faith in the qur'an. b) messages containing da'wah consisting of worship and muamalah. c) and the message of dakwah containing morals consisting of noble character and morally reprehensible. (4) the results of this research can be implemented in the learning of literature in sma, based on education unit level curriculum (ktsp) 2006 contained in x1 semester 1 class there is sd and kd through "aspect reading" (7). sk. (7.1) understand various saga, indonesian novel / novel translation. kd (7.2) analyzes the intrinsic and extrinsic elements of indonesian novel / novel translation.
