Abstract

Posyandu is an integrated service post for elderly people in a certain area that has been agreed upon, which is mobilized by the community where they can get health services. Elderly Health Center located in Gajahan is only one Elderly Health Center, namely Posyandu Seger Waras in RW 03 with 80 members of elderly. Elderly Health Center participant in Gajahan Colomadu Karanganyar Village is still relatively low when viewed from the total number of elderly that is only 23% from total of elderly population. The results of initial observations of researchers in the location of the study found that inhibiting the factor of activeness of elderly in the Posyandu activities of family support. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support with the attitude of elderly in following posyandu elderly in Gajahan Colomadu. The population in this study were all elderly registered in Gajahan Colomadu Karanganyar in October 2013 as many as 356 elderly, the sample used was 78 respondents. The sampling technique used is using proportional random sampling. Data collection using questionnaire, while data analysis using Chi Square. Based on the results of the study it is known that Family support to the elderly registered in Gajahan Colomadu Karanganyar in following Elderly Posyandu included in the category enough. The elderly attitude registered in Gajahan Colomadu Karanganyar in following Elderly Posyandu is included in enough category. There is a significant relationship between family support and elderly attitudes in following Elderly Posyandu in Gajahan Colomadu Karanganyar (p = 0.001).
