Abstract
Solar panels are tools can convert direct sunlight into ertical energy. Currently solar panels are widely used in everyday life. The average solar panels used are fixed. This make the absorption of sunlight by solar panels less than optimal. In order for the absorption of sunlight by optimal solar panels, the solar panels should always follow the movement of the direction of the sun. In this study discussed about Prototype Sun Tracking System on Arduino- based solar generating system to obtain maximum solar energy. In order for solar panels to move to follow the sun, it needs a control system automatically This system will make solar panels move following the motion of the sun, so the absorption of sunlight can be maximized. The main controls use arduino uno which gets input value from LDR sensor then processed to output system. Placement of LDR sensor at an angel of 45°, ideal dimension of solar panel boards are sought. With this method of control system can automatically be seen the difference of results from fixed solar panels with solar panel trackers, from such comparison of solar panels more optimal tracker receives sunlight compared to fixed solar panels.
