Abstract

Load flow studies are indispensable for calculation on electric power systems. The calculation used to improve the system so that more optimal. Load flow studies can be done in a variety of methods such as by doing the calculation manually or by computer software. ETAP Power Station is a software that supports the load flow studies in the matter. The purpose of doing research is to improve voltage profile and loss-power loss by doing the evaluation of the components on the system. The repair was done so that voltage drop is still within the limits of tolerance that is under 5% and for memberbaiki loss-power loss. Many of the methods used for the completion of the study load flow. The methods used in the studies the flow of this burden is the Newton-raphson method. Improvements to the flow of the load is carried out with two stages, the first stage done the analysis State system, and the second stage by performing corrective actions to the system. Simulations conducted at the ETAP using 100% load. 1600 kVA transformer capacity is not able to sustain the maximum load that reached 1768 KW then it should be evaluated against the plant by changing the capacity of the transformer into a 2000 kVA. The first simulation shows there are still many who are experiencing bus voltage drop and power loss-loss is great, especially on bus 34 and 35 that experienced a drop of 19.29%, after repairs at the component cables and CB condition drop on the bus decreased to 4.8%. The first stage of the simulation also showed losses of active power of 161.5 KW and reactive power losses amounted to 98.5 kVAR. After evaluation of the components on the system retrieved losses of active power 32.6 kW power losses and reactive of 20.0 kVAR.
