Abstract

Chicken broiler is one type of chicken that is widely farmed in Indonesia. Chicken broiler is growing pretty fast, only within 5 to 7 weeks breeders have been able to harvest it. To get the optimal yields of broiler chicken required a good chicken coop. The chicken coop should be able to provide a comfortable environment for chickens to prevent stress. A good chicken coop environment should have the appropriate temperature and humidity needed by broiler chickens. With the growth of technology in electronics, a tool that can control the temperature and humidity in the broiler chicken coop has been designed. The DHT22 sensor will be used to measure the temperature and humidity values in the broiler chicken coop. Furthermore the measurement value of DHT22 will be processed by arduino mega 2560, which is the results will be displayed on 20x4 Liquid Crystal Display (LCD). The Arduino will also control the fan speed, cooling, heating, and water pumps that used to control the temperature and humidity inside the broiler coop. This tool will control the temperature and humidity needed by broiler chickens from the age of 1 day until the chicken ready to be harvested in the age of 35 days so that in its growth can grow with good quality.
