Abstract

Student dormitories have a strategic role, functioning not only for the environment of residence and learning environment but also as social environment that helps to form the personality. Seeing the number of students who always increase each year, as in the academic year 2017/2018, new students IAIN Salatiga is a number of 3,165 (Three thousand one hundred sixty five) people. With the presence of this new mahassiswa, the total of IAIN Salatiga students currently number 10,589 (Ten thousand five hundred and eighty nine) people. By considering the description above, the dormitory development is very suitable to provide supporting facilities and as a means of students to live, socialize, shape the self and find his identity. As for the construction of IAIN Salatiga dormitory is emphasized on the Islamic concept.
