Abstract

Cities that fall into the creative category and towards the city worthy of this child has not had a center of creative activities as a means and container to channel the creative activities of street children and community who want to participate. Creative House of Street Children in Surakarta is a home that becomes a learning media and creative development that focuses on street children and people who have a young soul where there are semi learning and training in the field of creativity in the city of Surakarta, Central Java. The building embodies activities that trigger developments such as arts, crafts, sports, gardening and also there is a shelter house that aims to provide shelter for street children who have no place to settle. This building implements the use of waste materials as building components such as the use of used glass bottles, wood furniture waste, bamboo and so on. Then for the processing of the waste of gray water, where the residual of the gross water (gray water) is filtered and then the water can be reused as the need for the building. Thus this building can be a building that can take advantage of goods that have been unused again can be used into the scope of the building as well as give understanding to the public about the importance of preserving the environment.
