Abstract
The objectives of the research are to describe: 1) the daily living skills model development for autist students; 2) the learning strategy for autist students; 3) the role and form of the daily living skills for autist students; and 4) the supporting and inhibiting factors of daily living skills learning model for autist students at SD Negeri 3 Banyudono as an inlcussive school. The type of the research is a qualitative research. The design of the researh is ethnographical study. The research was undertaken at SD Negeri 3 Banyudono. The data analysis is done using interactive model consists of three main components, namely data reduction, data display, and verification. The research concludes that: 1) the daily living skills learning model development for autist students at SD Negeri 3 Banyudono was done in accordance to the students’ individual needs; 2) the strategy in daily living skills learning employed covered all service aspects. The service was initiated from initial diagnosis to find out the students’ learning needs. The learning process was done using direct instruction, simulation and discussion. The evaluation was done using test and non-test known as TEACCH (Treatment And Education For Autistic Children And Related Comunication Handicaps); 3) The role of daily living skills learning in improving students’ otonomy was to help the students doing daily activities; and 4) the supporting factors of daily living skills learning model for autist students were the parental participation and teachers’ experience. The inhibiting factors of daily living skills learning model for autist students at SD N 3 Banyudono were human resources quality and financial matters
