Abstract

The textile industry produces very complex waste. In production produce synthetic dye waste. One of the synthetic dyes is Remazol Brilliant Blue R (RBBR). RBBR is liquid dye waste that can contaminate the environment and is toxic. Using white rot fungi is one way of degradation RBBR dyes. White rot fungi contain ligninolytic enzymes that can degradation the RBBR. The fungi used in this study is a pleurotus ostreatus and lentinula edodes. The Solid-state Fermentation (SF) method is chosen in producing ligninolitik enzymes from fungi. The analysis of the result of decolorization was done by uv-vis spectrofotometer with wavelength 595 nm. Parameter done in this research that is: variation of fermentation time (6-10 day), water content (87-90,9%), and concentration 1000 ppm in dye RBBR. The result showed that the optimum condition of dye decolorization RBBR is 6 days and 87% water content, with maximum decolorization is a pleurotus ostreatus fungi of 62,38%, while lentinula edodes is 59,05%. So it can be concluded that pleurotus ostreatus ostretus and lentinula edodes fungi can decolorization RBBR dyes well.
