Abstract

The water recharge area is the area used to pass water. The general purpose of this study is to identify the conditions in the water recharge area of research which led to flooding in the rainy season. This research aims to, 1) Shareable determine the natural ability in the research area, 2) Determine the dominant factors that affect the ability of natural infiltration, 3) Analyzing the results of identification of water catchment area in Sukoharjo District. The method used in this research is survey method and secondary document analysis, sampling method is purposive sampling. The parameters used are rainfall, soil type, soil texture, rock type, topography and land use. These biophysical parameters affect the ability of natural infiltration. Land use serves as a filter factor in infiltration capabilities. The compilation of these parameters results in a water catchment condition in the study area. The natural infiltration capability in Sukoharjo Regency is "medium" with percentage of 30,36% and dominating area is in Polokarto Sub-district with percentage of 7.45%. The dominant physical parameter affecting natural infiltration is the type of rock parameter with the total value of the value of 102. The result of water absorption condition in Sukoharjo regency, there are six classes that is "good" 4.25% dominated by Polokarto Sub-district is 1.81%, "Normal natural" 4.91% dominated by Bendosari Sub-district is 1.45%, "Critical Start" 17.49% dominated by Bendosari Sub-district is 5.20%, "Rather Critical" 26,17% dominated by Polokarto Sub-District is 4.60%, "Critical" 25.86% dominated by Sukoharjo Sub-District 4.33%, "Very Critical" dominated by Grogol Sub-District is 5.12%.
