Abstract
Liquid waste laboratory is waste the remains chemicals that has been used , the remains sample that has been tested or water former laundry equipment . Characteristic of liquid waste laboratory can be described as as waste hazardous materials and toxic (B3). Most dangerous elements that was found in liquid waste laboratory are heavy metal like iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), chrome (Cr), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd). Heavy metal are very dangerous and can cause poisoning (toxicity) in living things. This research aims to decrease the concentration of heavy metals and COD by using the precipitation and fitoremediation method. In the precipitation method was used NaOH as precipitating agent and used variation ph 4, 7 and 10 at the speed of stirring 50 rpm for 20 minutes . Then get optimize ph that will be used to do the processing fitoremediation method. In the fitoremediation method was used variation of apu plants and of bamboo plants water althoght and absorption of the plants to heavy metal on the day 1, 3, 5 and 7. Later retrieved optimum time of heavy metals and plants for use in the most effective reduce the lower of heavy metal. After that will be analyzed the content of COD and metals concentration. Liquid waste from the laboratory used is about 0.84 of ph , then added synthetic waste in the form of metal Pb of 3 ppm and metal Cd of 1 ppm. On method precipitation obtained ph steady at 10 in the Cd of metal 0.0639 ppm and metal Pb of 0.275 ppm. Meanwhile the optimum position required of bamboo plants water to absorb metal are three days and plant apu for 5 days . Levels of COD on the liquid waste synthetic laboratory at 34.166,67 mg/L and decreased by 97.76% to bamboo plant water and 99.34% to plant apu .
