Abstract
Concrete is a building material that has long been known in Indonesia. There has been a lot of research on the concrete that has been done. Adapaun research this time aims to find out how the effect of the addition of nail fiber that produces maximum tensile strength of concrete at the age of 28 days. This research uses experimental method to get data of research result that needed for the purpose of discussion of existing problem. The calculation of concrete mortar design using SNI 03-2834-2000 method, and the test is done at Panca Beton Laboratory. Types of testing performed include concrete compressive strength testing at 28 days concrete and tensile strength testing using the Loading Frame tool. The test specimens were made using a cylinder mold with a diameter of 150 mm and a height of 300 mm, by adding a nail fiber of 40 mm. Each test object amounted to 3 pieces for 1 variation of fiber addition levels. The percentage of fiber used is 0%; 0.5%, 1% and 1.5%. The calculation used is statistical analysis with linear regression on concrete tensile strength limits using Microsoft Excel program. The result of this research is the increase of tensile strength value of concrete after compared with percentage of concrete without fiber. Increasing the value of tensile strength of concrete with the degree of addition of bendrat fiber by 0%; 0.5%; 1% and 1.5% is 24.81%; 36.58% and 32.31%.
