Abstract
Concrete is a structural element of the building that is familiar in the field of Civil Engineer and widely used to date. The widespread use of concrete structures results in an increase in the need for constituents such as cement, sand and gravel. The aim of this research is to know the effect of Purwodadi red sand and Klaten Kaliworo sand as a fine aggregate material with variation of red sand 0%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 100% by weight of sand used by adding added sugarcane with variation 0%; 0.15%; 0.20%, 0.25% of the weight of cement used, when viewed from the compressive strength and workability of the age of 28 days with the water factor of cement is determined equal in all variations, which is 0.5. The sample used is cylindrical (d = 15cm; h = 30cm), concrete quality is planned 25 MPa. Total sample 60, Each variation consists of 3 samples. Planning method using SNI T-15-1990-03 method. In slump testing there is an increase in slump value which is directly proportional to the addition of variations of sugarcane drops thus increasing workability. The results of the compressive strength test showed a maximum increase in compressive strength at 28 days old at 28.16 MPa in the variation of 0.25% sugarcane with 60% percentage of Purwodadi red sand and 40% of Klaten Kaliworo sand. From all result of concrete compressive test, it is found that the combination of red sand and sand of Kaliworo with the addition of molasses is very influential to the value of compressive strength of concrete, as a whole the concrete has increased value of compressive strength, but as the percentage of excessive drops of sugarcane and red sand can decrease concrete compressive strength value.
