Abstract

The hospital is a workplace that has a high risk to the safety and health of people inside and outside the hospital. To be able to reduce the possibility of such a high risk then compiled a policy about OHS by company. Policies compiled include policies on patient care. Implementation of the policy of OHS service requires cooperation and commitment with hospital staff. This study aims to determine the relationship of patient service with nurse commitment to the implementation of OHS in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The type of this research is Descriptive Analytic with cross sectional approach. The sample of this research is 84 respondents from total population 355 nurses in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Independent variable in this research is patient service. While for the dependent variable in this study is nurse commitment. The statistical test used is Pearson product moment test. The results of the analysis in this study shows the relationship of patient service with nurse commitment to the implementation of OHS in RS PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta with pvalue 0,025 <0,05 and correlation coefficient (r) 0,244 meaning there is significant correlation with weakness of weakness. Therefore, it is expected that the company to improve the socialization and supervision to the nurses about the importance of the application of patient services according to OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) in conducting the activities in the hospital.
