Abstract

BUMDes is a village business entity managed by the community and village administration in an effort to strengthen the village economy and is shaped based on the needs and potential of the village. The businesses owned by Ponggok Village include nature tourism (Umbul Ponggok), fishing pond, clean water management, culinary kiosk, and credit. In this thesis the author, describes the problem formulation, among others: (1) Is the management of Tirta Mandiri BUMDes Klaten in accordance with applicable legislation? (2) How is the role of BUMDes Tirta Mandiri in Umbul Ponggok water conservation based on Corporate Social Responsibility in improving the welfare of Ponggok Village? The method used by the writer is using empirical approach that is research which is used to solve research problem by doing research of primary data in field. The results obtained in this thesis is that in the effort management of BUMDes aims to improve the economic welfare of the villagers through the development of their economic enterprises. The formation of BUMDes is intended to encourage / accommodate all income generating activities of the community, whether developing according to local customs / cultures. Management of business units under BUMDes is more appropriate management than management under cooperatives.
