Abstract

This study sought to: (1) describe the early childhood learning at Paud Melati; (2) explain the factual local cultural based learning at Paud Melati domain; (3) find the local cultural based learning model at Paud Melati; (4) compile a local cultural based early childhood learning model. Type of research implemented in this study is research development. It was conducted at Paud Melati SKB Susukan Kabupaten Semarang. Informants of this study were the chief organizer, the kindergarten’s teachers, the playgroup’s teachers, the students’ parents, and other supported stakeholders’. The data 2 collection techniques used were deep interview, participated observation, and document study. Triangulation, key informant review, and member checking were roled as the validity checking. The analysis technique using were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The study results: the early childhood learning process at Paud Melati was generally contented the service standard of PAUD organization. The local cultural based learning teaching plan compiled by Paud Melati covers curriculum, syllabus, semester program, weekly teaching plan (RPPM), and daily teaching plan (RPPH). Paud Melati was also applied the local cultural integrated learning. The factual learning model was compiled with local cultural mapping of the environment as a reference to formulate materials given. Furthermore, it is handed over to the Paud Melati stakeholders to get respons and suggestions. Then, it is revised and upgraded in a developed model to be easier applicated for early childhood learning program of other Paud.
