Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1. To know the implementation of learning guidance service strategy for single parent students at SD Negeri 02 Munggur, Mojogedang, Karanganyar, 2. To know the constraints faced in implementing the strategy of tutoring services for single parent students, 3. Understanding the role of parents in the strategy of tutoring services for single parent students. This type of research is qualitative research. The design of this study is a case study. Data analysis techniques used data collection on natural setting, primary data source and more data collection techniques on participant observation, in depth interview and documentation. The results of this study are a. Implementation of the guidance counseling strategy for single parent students has been well implemented whereby there is an increase in student achievement outcomes and student behavior, the implementation of a parenting guidance service strategy for single parent students applied through 1). Analyze student problems through learning counseling steps 2). Implement the Strategy of learning guidance services based on student learning styles, 3) Familiarize students to read, 4). Provide additional hours or tutoring lessons, 5). Growing good habits in learning in school, 6) Motivating students to be more studious and providing innovative and fun learning strategies. 7) Establish communication with student families, and 8) Provision of school assistance to students and families of students through scholarships and foster teachers. b. The constraints faced in implementing the strategy of guidance services for single parent students are two internal and external factors. c. The role of parents in the strategy of counseling services for single parent students by becoming parents who can be relied upon to solve problems faced by children, especially in supporting and guiding students in learning.
