Abstract

Information about innovation to be accepted and understood by the public through effective communication so there is no misunderstanding about the new innovation for online taxi, so will more optimized and more quickly adopted GO-JEK. GO-JEK is transport services is an online application and founded of the young entrepreneur Indonesia. The purpose of this research is to know the diffusion of innovation changes the conventional taxi became GO-JEK online. This type of qualitative research studies with primary data descriptive approach used in the form of interviews and observations. The Sampling technique used in this study using the technique purposive sampling, The informants that will be studied are the drivers (GO-JEK) online, and conventional taxi drivers who have decided to adopt GO-JEK. The data analysis used the interactive model, namely data collection, reduction, conclusion. Validitas, rendering the data used in the study is through the triangulation. The results showed the diffusion of Innovation Changes the conventional Taxi became GO-JEK online in Solo, in this research the process of diffusion of innovation is diffusion of innovations implementation system . The process of diffusion of innovation elements: innovation, communication channel, time, social system. As a form of innovation Applications GO-JEK online qualify 5 characteristicsof an innovation thatis relativeadvantages, compability, complexity, triability, observability. GO-JEK online in Solo diffusion of through multiple channels of information especially in interpersonal communication. In addition to interpersonal communication through by the web GO-JEK, facebook, youtube, and etc. The combination of use of these diverse communication channels make the prospective adopter quickly absorb information and adopted the innovations. A period of innovation GO-JEK adopted by adopter (drivers GO-JEK) in different time range. The process of adoption of innovation in research through 5 stages, namely knowledge, persuasion, decision, implementation, confirmation. In this research the adoption process went smoothly and well. The informant as adopter through the stages until finally decided and steady to adopt GO-JEK. Keywords: Diffusion Of Innovations. Conventional Taxi. Go-Jek Online
