Abstract

This study has 2 objectives. (1) Describes the form of meaning variation (2) The cause of the existence of variations of meaning that exist on the sticker containing the element of education. This research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative method. The data in this study is a phrase contained on the stickers containing educational elements, as many as 15 data. data collection techniques in this study is refer and note. The method used in this research is qualitative method. Data analysis using the method of agih with advanced technique that is paraphrase technique, technique of lesap, and technique of change. The result of this research is 3 (1) result of analysis based on some sticker containing educational element obtained by the researcher there are 7 categories of meaning variation in sticker containing educational element found, that is metaphor, personification, metonymy, generalization, specialization, amelioration, and the variations in the meaning of levies. (2) the existence of variations of meaning on the stickers that contain education that is the use of metaphor 2 metaphor data, the use of personification 3 data, metonimi 5 data, generalization 1 data, specialization 2 data, amelioration 3 data, association 2 data, variation of meaning result of levy 3 data, variation of complex meaning 2 data, homonym 2 data, polysemy 2 data. (3) The cause of language variation from the speaker's facet language, the data fall into two variations, namely idiolek and sosiolek contained on stickers containing educational elements.
