Abstract

UKM TEMPE SUPER is a tempe-making UKM managed by Mas Jojon and Mbak Nur addressing at Hamlet Wates RT 004 RW 002. Marketing strategy that adapts to customer needs to innovate the type of tempe sold, one of which is tempe oreg. Tempe oreg is a tempe that is cut with a small elongated droop. Each cutting of 100 pieces of tempeh takes 2 hours at a cost of Rp 10,000 per hour. The tempe oreg cutters are made based on benchmarks from the workings of potato cutting tools and bricklayers. The use of tempe oreg can reduce the time of cutting ore tempe per piece from 77 seconds to 19.6 seconds. Reduction time of 57.4 seconds significantly influence the reduction of costs incurred from Rp 620.000, - to Rp 190.000, - per week. Making this ore tempe cutting tool costs Rp 535,000, - so with the benefit of using the tool of Rp 430.000, - per week, the cost incurred for the manufacture of tempe will return within 1.24 weeks.
