Abstract

The denser population in Indonesia causes congestion in many areas. The government is trying to find the best solution to solve the problems, one of them is by constructing toll roads as a means to reduce congestion. One of the toll road development projects that can break down the congestion is the Trans Java Toll Road project, which is a network of toll roads that can connect cities on the island of Java. But with the highway does not close the possibility of accidents, generally accidents on the highway occurred due to driving experience fatigue. Therefore to avoid accidents on the highway provided rest area. Rest area or rest area is a place and facilities provided for road users so that both the driver, passengers and the vehicle can rest for a while due to tired reasons. The issues raised are how to provide a rest area with basic needs fulfillment facilities for drivers, passengers and vehicles with various facilities. The location of the rest area is at KM 276 Toll Brebes-Pemalang precisely in Penarukan Village, Kab. Tegal. Rest Area Km 276, the location is a temporary rest area provided by the toll road manager with the fulfillment of facilities that are still minimal. Later Rest Area Km 276 concept raised the local potential of Brebes-Tegal-Pemalang region by presenting elements of locality in it. In addition there is also a recreation area provided by the rest area manager to improve visitor convenience. Rest area is equipped with various facilities, ranging from vehicle needs such as car wash, service, refueling, eating and drinking, toilets, prayers, and rest areas. Building on Rest Area KM 276 themed tropical architecture according to climate in Indonesia as well as with emphasis on local and natural materials. Equipped with water network system, electricity network, fire protection and good waste management. It is expected to be a favorite Rest Area of users of the Brebes-Pemalang toll road as well as a regional icon.
